Frenzy is a film that I never really knew much about despite it being a Hitchcock film and for that its underrated. When I saw Frenzy, I couldn't believe how disturbing it is. When I was in the first 20 minutes, I started to get a bit bored because it took a bit too long to get going. Despite it being a thriller, it was a slightly different kind of Hitchcock film because it is set in an ordinary modern day background. I love films like this that are about a search for a killer.
This is an absolutely typical Hitchcock film as far as story and tension is concerned. I figure that Psycho, The Birds and Frenzy are Hitchcock's creepiest films. In other ways, this is unlike any other Hitchcock film because it was very violent and sexually graphic too. Frenzy was filmed in a very typical Hitchcock sort of way. I was totally gripped by this film all the way through. It has a very powerful and kick ass ending which makes it one of the best endings ever.
Frenzy is one of the best psychological thrillers ever made! It is another great Hitchcock film but I still prefer Psycho, Rear Window, Rebecca, North By Northwest, The birds and Vertigo. Frenzy is one of the most underrated films ever too. It is Hitchcock's creepiest film since Psycho. It is one of the most intense thrillers too.
