It is difficult to describe to someone what actually happens in this film. At times it reaches sublime heights, it has off-the-wall moments and it is sometimes ridiculous (talking limousines) but it is always unpredictable.
It is undoubtedly an incredibly ambitious and admirable piece of filmmaking, full of homages and references to notable classics. Above all, this film is intensely self-conscious of the nature of the medium and it really plays with the spectator and their expectations. Its a head-trip that can get right under your skin if you are willing to leave it work out its own peculiar logic. Intense, bizarre and certainly worth it for the experience it produces, despite Kylie Minogue's brief musical segment!
