Review of Final Fantasy X

Final Fantasy X features one of the most polished turn-based systems in the series. The Conditional Turn-Based (CTB) combat clearly shows turn order, letting players plan moves without time pressure. Being able to swap party members mid-battle keeps fights tactical and encourages using the whole cast. The Sphere Grid replaces traditional leveling with a flexible progression path, giving players control over how characters grow while staying rewarding throughout the journey.

Exploration supports the storyโ€™s pacing with mostly linear paths, optional secrets, and side activities like Blitzball that add variety without breaking immersion. Overall, the gameplay feels strategic, accessible, and deeply satisfying.
