An average movie

Beforehand, I thought it would be quite awfull but, honestly, I thought it was rather watchable eventually. Of course, the whole thing was completely preposterous and doesn't make much sense whatsoever but if you shut off your mind, it is actually rather entertaining. It does help when you have some terrific actors such as Tommy Lee Jones and Don Cheadle who try to keep a straight face during the whole thing and try really hard to make you believe that everything going on your screen is actually happening and could actually happen in real life. Still, it is nothing amazing though. I mean, it is actually a terrific idea to make a movie about a bursting volcano and with the financial and technical means they have, they could make a terrific movie, at the same time realistic and entertaining. I guess they make it preposterous on purpose so that the audience can sit back and relax and watch the movie without worrying since it something like this would never happen in real life, whereas a realistic feature would be too confronting and distressing for the average audience. To conclude, even though it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it is still a rather average flick and it is not really worth a look.
