An average movie

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Noomi Rapace and since this movie was available on Netflix, I was quite eager to check it out. Well, even though the concept definitely had some potential, to be honest, the damned thing still turned out to be rather disappointing after all. The first thing that bothered me was this idea of forcing people to have only 1 child and considering as a solution. I mean, even without such a law, most Western countries are nowadays already struggling with the ageing of their population and, as a result, we have already not enough people working to support all the elders. With such a political system, it would drastically accelerate this process with some dramaticate economical consequences. So, right from the start, as you can see, I was hardly convinced by this concept. However, it was just really awesome to see Noomi Rapace playing seven siblings, very often in the same room, and, once again, she just really nailed it. Unfortunately, it's too bad Tatiana Maslany already did something very similar with the TV-show 'Orphan Black'. Concerning the story itself, I was again not really impress. I mean, at some point, the Settman Siblings were under attack and the best thing they could think of was to hide behind a mirror. Even worse, they didn't seem to have a plan B, like 'what should we do if we are discovered?'. Eventually, they actually simply stayed at home after surviving this first attack against them which didn't make much sense. I won't mention also the various twists which were all fairly predictable. Anyway, to conclude, even if it didn't work for me, I have to admit that the concept was not bad and, above all, just to see Noomi Rapace playing seven different characters, the damned thing is still actually worth a look.
