Review of City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, Book 1)

I tried to read City of Bones but I couldn't quite make it to the end. The construction is laughable and the writing is sophomoric. Maybe a better editor, but I don't think I was supposed to find this as funny as I did. And rape and incest as plot devices, blech, no thanks.
