An average movie

Honestly, ย I wasn't expecting much from this flick but my daughter picked it up so I still ended up watching it. Eventually, for an Adam Sandler production, ย I have to admit that it wasn't so bad after all, especially if you compare it to his latest movies which had been all rather abysmal. However, it was still not really amazing, I'm afraid. In fact even though it was an animated feature, it still pretty much followed the same formula always used by Sandler. Indeed, it starts up with a rather dubious concept but, then, you soon realize that it is all rather harmless and you end up with a supposedly deep moral conclusion. Concerning the animation, it was decent but it has been a while since I have seen an animated feature with such an ADHD complex. Indeed, it goes so fast, there is so much going on all the freaking time, it was just really tiresome to behold. I mean, if you decide to make a movie about monsters, you don't necessarily need to show all of them, almost all the time together on the screen. Seriously, ย I think there was maybe 20 or 30 talking parts. Anyway, to conclude, even though I have seen worse, I didn't like it much and I don't think it is really worth a look.ย
