Roger Federer puts an end to the serve & volley era by defeating Tim Henman in the 2004 Indian Wells final. Henman had gotten the better of Federer in their previous two matches in Paris and Rotterdam by using a lot of serve and volley, but Federer's performance in this match was nothing short of spectacular, having every answer to Henman's attacking tennis. Henman would never beat Federer again, losing all of their remaining five matches against each other.
