Let” is a 16-minute short film directed by Alyssa Loh, featuring Sonoya Mizuno as Mia, an isolated British law student in New York. Mia struggles with a compulsion toward self-harm and pain, finding solace in both self-inflicted harm and BDSM practices. After her usual partner, Simone, ends their involvement, Mia encounters Josie, a confident young woman, at a bar. As their night unfolds, both women are led into uncharted emotional and psychological territories.

The film delves into themes of vulnerability, human connection, and the exploration of non-normative desires with empathy and nuance. It premiered at the 2024 South by Southwest (SXSW) festival and has been featured in various other festivals, including the Seattle International Film Festival and the Palm Springs ShortFest.
