Romy Schneider (allemand : [ˈʁoː.mi ˈʃnaɪ̯.dɐ] ; née Rosemarie Magdalena Albach ; 23 septembre 1938 - 29 mai 1982) était une actrice franco-allemande. Elle a commencé sa carrière dans le genre Heimatfilm allemand au début des années 1950, alors qu'elle avait 15 ans. De 1955 à 1957, elle a joué le personnage central de l'impératrice Elisabeth d'Autriche dans la trilogie autrichienne Sissi, et a ensuite repris le rôle dans une version plus mature dans Ludwig de Luchino Visconti (1973). Schneider a déménagé en France, où elle a réalisé des films à succès et acclamés par la critique avec certains des réalisateurs les plus remarquables de cette époque.

Romy Schneider (German: [ˈʁoː.mi ˈʃnaɪ̯.dɐ] ; born Rosemarie Magdalena Albach; 23 September 1938 – 29 May 1982) was a German-French actress. She began her career in the German Heimatfilm genre in the early 1950s when she was 15. From 1955 to 1957, she played the central character of Empress Elisabeth of Austria in the Austrian Sissi trilogy, and later reprised the role in a more mature version in Luchino Visconti's Ludwig (1973). Schneider moved to France, where she made successful and critically acclaimed films with some of the most notable film directors of that era.
