"The 'Divine Sarah' - brilliant and indomitable - in the last scene from 'Daniel' -- a tale of the Eternal Triangle -- and a man's self-sacrifice." (shot missing) "Neglected and forlorn Genevieve, wife of Daniel's brother -- a man whose God is money - has fled with another and Daniel (Madame Sarah Bernhardt) self-sacrificingly has taken the blame." (shot missing)



"Here, in this last scene, Daniel, at death's door, is telling his old friend the Doctor how his brother unjustly suspected him of complicity in Genevieve's flight." L/S of stage set. Sarah Bernhardt lies in her sick bed whilst a man holds her hand. A conversation takes place between Sarah and the man who sits beside her bed. She throws up her hand. C/U of the actor playing the Doctor. "Daniel, I have sent for your brother... he must see you - at once..." C/U of the Doctor as he speaks to Sarah Bernhardt. L/S of the set as they act out the scene. A manservant comes into the room with a cup of tea but Sarah sends him away. She drinks from a glass instead - possibly medicine. C/U of Sarah and the Doctor. She clutches at her heart and looks distressed.



Was an item in Pathe Pictorial - issue number unknown.



Note: paper records and leader state was originally UN7J - this is not on our Index Database and is an odd number for our old system - mystery!



Most of the missing material is probably to be found on EP295, item called "Unknown Play"
