1. In 1989 Depp was arrested and held for three hours after police answered a noisy party complaint at a hotel, a Vancouver police spokesman said. Depp assaulted a security guard during a scuffle, police said. Telephones in the lobby were also damaged in the incident. The fight broke out after security asked a group of people to leave the hotel, police said. Depp was released on a promise to appear in court. Charges against Deep were dropped after he promised a judge to be a good boy. (This works only if you are white or rich or preferably both.)

2. Then, in 1994, Depp was arrested again on charges of criminal mischief when he destroyed a hotel room because he was having a fight with his girlfriend at the time, 20 year old Kate Moss. He had to pay almost $10,000 in damages, but again he got off.
Depp claimed that Kate Moss was asleep when he did the $10k damage to room, while some reports say they were both arguing with each other.
Kate Moss hasn’t commented, neither has she supported Depp since Amber Heard took out a temporary restraining order against him in 2016 and accused him of domestic abuse.

3. In 1999, Depp was arrested in London for swinging and threatening to bash paparazzi with a wooden plank if they didn’t leave. He admitted to assaulting one at the Depp v NGN trial in 2020.

4. Ellen Barkin, Johnny Depp’s costar and ex, gave a 2020 deposition for the Depp v Heard lawsuit.
Barkin said, “There is always an air of violence around him. He’s a yeller. He’s verbally abusive. All those things you can see.”
Depp and Barkin dated in 1994. Barkin supports Amber Heard.

5. *This is an ongoing lawsuit which is planned to go to trial in Oct 2021*

In 2017, Depp allegedly assaulted the location manager, Greg ‘Rocky’ Brooks, on the set of the movie City of Lies.

Brooks was confronted by Depp, who he claimed shouted: "Who the f*ck are you? You have no right to tell me what to do! I don't give a f*ck who you are and you can't tell me what to do."

He then alleges Depp punched him twice in the rib cage. Mr Brooks claims he managed to keep his "composure", to which he says Depp replied: "I will give you 100,000 dollars to punch me in the face right now." Depp's bodyguards are then said to have removed him from set.

Brooks alleges Depp's breath "reeked of alcohol" and he further claims he had been taking drugs on set.

Brooks then got sacked from the film the next day so he went on to sue Depp and the production company.

6. In 2016, Amber Heard took out a temporary restraining order against Depp.
For it to have been granted, she needed to have evidence - which she provided. Despite this, people still chose not to believe her. I’ll get into the smear campaign in future posts.

During their divorce proceedings Depp had Amber sign an NDA so that she could no longer speak about their relationship in public, which she hadn’t done.

Depp sued The Sun in 2018 for naming him a ‘wife beater’ in their newspaper.
This case went to trial in July 2020 which lasted three weeks.

The objective of the case was for the defendant, NGN/The Sun, to prove that Depp abused Heard on just 1 account for them to be able to call him a wife beater.

The judge heard and saw all the evidence and ruled that Depp had abused Amber in the 12 incidents she provided, which were backed up with overwhelming evidence.
Depp lost his claim.
