Let's set the time machine for the evening of Thursday, November 19, 1981 on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California at The Roxy. Your limo driver just opened your door and as you step out you see Stevie signing autographs on the sidewalk out front. Ready?

For all you Stevie lovers out there. Here is the video that got my 5 year old YT account with over 1,000 videos on it BANNED FOREVER from YT.

Ef YT, I'm sick of their BS where they kill some accounts yet leave others alone. This account will probably be dead soon too but at least you caught this rare HQ clip of Stevie on the Sunset Strip at the Roxy in the glory days. There was some other dude with a 240P version that was really blurry and pixelated. Fans were asking for a clearer version so here is a much cleaner, clearer version of that infamous night way back in 81.

For your info, the last time I posted this clip there was a huge debate about one thing in particular. Her poor little (actually big) left nostril which makes it's closeup appearance starting around 01:54. If you are a Stevie fan you know the story.

Watch shortly for a super rare 10:44 version of Sara with extended verses that I will be posting. This super extended version trumps them all including the 08:47 Cleaning Lady version.

What is it about Sara that sends shivers up my spine, hairs prick up on the back of my neck and my eyes start to get misty whenever and wherever I am in the world when I hear that beautiful, other worldly unmistakable opening melody..........

"I wanna be a star, I don't wanna be a cleaning lady"

P.S. Wow! It's the 5 year anniversary of posting this video and it's still up. Amazing.

For all those that read to the very bottom, I am always amazed at this one special mesmerizing part of the video and NO ONE ever mentions it or even mentioned it in the long discussion from the first deleted video.

Here it is. Ready? Do you watch for the special details in Stevie's videos like I do? Check this out. It blows me away every time I watch this part of Gold Dust Woman.

Check out Stevie's eyes at 5:06. Watch how her eye expressions change a second or two later. Her eyes open up wide for a split second as she sings "woman......" Both eyebrows flash upwards for a micro second and her look there towards the audience sends shivers up and down my spine. That part kills me every time.

Here is the same Stevie eye expression/eyebrow raising part from the full length video of the Roxy concert. Someone posted the entire concert a year ago. Colors in the video seem to be richer and the video quality a bit better.

Not sure if that above link takes you to the correct time in the video. If not, go to 45:45

Notice at 04:34 how she closes her eyes and goes off to somewhere else deep in the back of her mind for 25 seconds. The whole time the vibrato in her voice keeps building up and up and up with more intensity. Her voice keeps getting deeper and deeper. Then she slowly opens her eyes and does the eyebrow/eye flash as mentioned above.

Notice at 06:18 how Stevie starts to slowly sway her hips more and more and more, then Mick starts to do the same thing. Stevie gets those faraway, dreamy eyes at 06:25 with someone in the audience, Stevie and Mick's arms start going up and down faster and faster increasing with the beat until they finally explode at 06:36.

Not too bad for a Cleaning Lady!

Now one more small detail. How many of you noticed Stevie is wearing a mini skirt? See 07:38,05:28 and 06:18

Suggestion - lights out, lie down, headphones on. Listen to her words and vocals.

"They never let me play GDW that long ever"

"And all the wonderful things that money could buy, could not change the way you feel inside when you're by yourself in a hotel room at night." -Stevie Nicks

Bob Welch and his band at the Roxy in Los Angeles, November 19, 1981. Mick Fleetwood, Stevie, and Christine McVie were guests (as was Ann Wilson of Heart). No, this was not during the affair Mick and Stevie had--that affair lasted from late 1977 to early 1978.

Send me back to the early 80s in a time machine and throw away the key....

Seems like I was there only 2 weeks ago yet it has been 36 years.

For those that want to see an earlier version of Stevie singing Gold Dust Woman let's step in the time machine and go back to the evening of December 5th, 1977 in Tokyo, Japan at Budokan Hall.

Below is the same 1977 Tokyo Gold Dust Woman version but a much cleaner, clearer copy of GDW although it starts a bit into the song. The clarity of the shots of Stevie in December 1977 is pretty amazing! Notice toward the end of this video Stevie is wearing a very sheer dress that leaves little to the imagination.
