Kiara Advani first faced the camera when she shot for an ad film for Wipro with her mother when she was a toddler. Her mother was a model at the time.
Kiara Advani played the role of Sakshi Dhoni in the movie M.S.Dhoni: An Untold Story. She had actually done the screen test for the role of MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi as well as his girlfriend in the biopic.
She starred in the movie Machine which was a romantic thriller released in 2017 and was directed by Abbas Mustan. The film had Kiara advani cast opposite debutant Mustafa Burmawala.
Kiara once revealed that her father allowed his kids to pursue a career in whatever they were passionate about only after watching the 2009 film 3 Idiots. Before pursuing a career in film, Kiara did two short courses in acting at Anupam Kher's school of acting and Roshan Taneja's institute as well.
Kiara Advani’s real name is Alia Advani but she was advised by Salman Khan to change it to Kiara Advani since Alia Bhatt had already made her debut. In fact her debut film Fugly was produced by Salman Khan as well.
Kiara Advani was born on 31 July 1992 to Jagdeep Advani, a businessman, and his wife Genevieve Jaffrey in Mumbai. She also has a younger brother named Mishaal Advani. Kiara's father is a Sindhi Hindu, while her mother who was raised a Catholic, is the daughter of Hameed Jaffrey. Kiara Advani was born with a few connections to the Hindi film industry as well. Her maternal grandfather, Hameed Jaffrey, was actually the brother of the actor Saeed Jaffrey. She is also a distant relative of the actress Juhi Chawla.
She did her schooling in Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai itself. She was very good in studies and scored 92% in her Class 12th examination. Later she joined Jai hind college of mass communication in Mumbai itself for her graduation.
Kiara Advani made her acting debut in Kabir Sadanand's film Fugly. She was cast in the movie opposite actor Mohit Marwah. The movie also starred Vijender Singh, Arfi Lamba and Jimmy Shergill. For her performance Kiara received mixed reviews. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama said that she "catches you completely unaware" and has the "combination of looks and talent". On the other hand Suprateek Chatterjee of First Post criticized Kiara advani’s performance and called her "especially bad" and "still very self-conscious in front of the camera".
She later starred in movies like MS Dhoni: a love story alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Patni. Her role in the movie as Sakshi Dhoni got noticed and her performance was appreciated as well. She also starred in the the movie machine in 2017 although the movie turned out to be a commercial and critical disaster.
She has some very interesting projects lined up and now she is starring in Telugu movie Bharat ane Nenu. She will also be seen in the hindi movie Bombay Talkies 2.
