Obscene music and "disco" lights on Kenya's Matatus must go

Kenya's public service taxis - also known as Matatus are probably some of the most colourful, chaotic and best expression of the country's pop culture. They come in all colours, graffiti and with loud music, wireless Internet connection and small screens s that play the latest music videos. Many young Kenyans earn a living working in the industry either as touts, drivers or artistes. Now, the country's public transport regulator says the loud and obscene music and "disco" lights must go. On Monday, they begin a crackdown that will see the vehicles stick to the set public service vehicles operators' regulations. Will that destroy the popular "matatu culture?"
Sarah Kimani spent a day inside the matatu world and filed this report.
