In September 2011, Carrera y Carrera will launch its new International Advertising Campaign.
Carrera y Carrera is a Spanish jewelry firm that is considered one of the most prestigious in the world. Present in over 40 countries, the Company has subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, and Russia, and boutiques in Madrid, Barcelona, Tokyo, Moscow, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur, among others.
This iconic brand is characterized by a unique style and precise designs where the combination of a matte-shine effect on gold, work in volumes, and meticulous craftsmanship make for exceptional jewelry pieces where gold and precious stones come to life.
Once again Carrera y Carrera elects a very modern interpretation with a strong Spanish influence.
Spain is undoubtedly a country of artistic reference thanks to having one of the best museums in the world, El Prado, and for having turned out some of the best painters in art history. Carrera y Carrera has drawn on this cultural wealth as inspiration for our new campaign, creating a picture that is a genuine portrait painted by hand in which the woman is the true protagonist -- an icon within an authentic work of art. The jewelry pieces become veritable talismans that frame and embellish this passionate, elegant woman, this Carrera y Carrera woman.


The Agency
Mafia is a French agency founded in 1968.
The agency has shown itself capable of supporting many international brands on the road to growth and success through its innovative vision and clear focus on the future. Mafia has extensive experience in the luxury sector with a client list that includes Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Thierry Mugler, among others.
The creator of the campaign is photographer Sebastian Kim, who possesses a broad multicultural vision.
He was born in Vietnam and grew up in Tehran, Paris, and Southern California. He began his career as an assistant to legendary photographer Richard Avedon, and later worked as an assistant to famous fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
The star of this campaign is Alejandra Alonso. Once again, Carrera y Carrera selects a Spanish face of singular beauty, and, great strength and international presence.
The campaign emphasizes the iconic products of the brand. Collections such as De Luces, Gardenias, Aqua, or Círculos de Fuego are the focus. Also, the new collection Mediterráneo, which has been launched with great impact and is having tremendous success in all markets.
Unique pieces that showcase a passion for gold and the masterful work of this metal have made Carrera y Carrera one of the most important Spanish jewelry firms internationally. Its connection to Spain is the source of inspiration for many of its collections. The new advertising campaign is comprised of a total of 5 single visuals and one double-page spread for the initial launch in print media.
This new campaign will be featured in the leading publications of the more than 40 countries where Carrera y Carrera is distributed, starting in September 2011.
