One of the most successful pop bands of the '80s was The Go-Go's. Their sparkling harmonies and killer hooks (and looks!) made the group an early MTV staple. But the group had its origins in the very non-pop L.A. punk sceneโthe same scene that spawned X, The Germs and The Weirdos. Jane Wiedlin was there for all of it, as an original member of The Go-Go's. She saw the group go from tiny punk clubs to #1 on the charts with their debut album, Beauty and the Beat.
