The quintessential romantic ballad - must've warmed many a heart when initially released. The song, composed by Alan Brandt and Bob Haymes, is part of Johnny's "Heavenly" album, 1959. Apparently his most successful album release after "Johnny's Greatest Hits" and the seasonal "Merry Christmas" collection. Described as the 'epitome' of Johnny's approach to music... (from AllMusic).. " The tempos are slow, the strings swell, and Mathis' vulnerable tenor, dripping with tender emotion yet never missing a beat, soars and swoops over all". This is such a classic album - no wonder it is enveloped by the most beautiful of the many exquisite portraits done of Johnny. The album is further identified as Johnny's longest running number one album which spent more than five-and-a-half years in the charts. Sink in and enjoy, enjoy. Ahhh. ** I chose to include a specific photo for many of you JM photo fans. I'll be interested to know if you can pick it out! Enjoy!
