Johnny Mathis ~ Summer Me, Winter Me ~

Yet another stellar composition by Michel Legrand and Marilyn and Alan Bergman - and in Johnny's 'hands' - absolute perfection. As with all of the pieces from this outstanding CD ("How Do You Keep The Music Playing" - 1993), Johnny continues to imbue vulnerability to the desires of love. As others have said of Johnny, he 'caresses' the song bringing the listener through every level of emotion woven throughout the piece. Listen to the cadence of whisper, wonder and passion - with a beautifully rich finish! Your heart will skip several beats with pure pleasure. I've repeated before a comment made by Johnny in interviews of the Bergmans "They are poets". What better description than when listening to the lyric "Forever me with love" - literary phasing at it's best. While this is a repeat of a different version of the same song ( video made over a year ago), they are two distinctly different pieces in their own right. ~ Please enjoy ~ to your heart's content ~
