Harvey -- LUKE TREADAWAY
Inspired by his drama teacher while growing up in Devon, Luke attended the National Youth Theatre at 16 and continued his acting education at LAMDA (the London Academy of Music and Drama) before getting his big break starring alongside his twin brother Harry in Brothers of the Head; the performance earned Luke a Most Promising Newcomer nomination at the British Independent Film Awards and the film itself was awarded The Michael Powell Award for Best British Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Last year Luke starred in the box-office hit Attack the Block and has also been seen in David McKenzie's You Instead. He has also starred in Cheerful Weather for the Wedding, a costume drama with Felicity Jones and Mackenzie Crook and The Whistleblower opposite Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave.
One of the most exciting and respected actors of his generation Luke's star is definitely on the rise. Luke's dedication to his craft and his almost chameleon like ability to bring a singular intensity to his brilliant performances gives us a Harvey worthy of the script.
Luke Treadaway has also starred in Clash of the Titans and Clapham Junction.
Wasteland Synopsis
Battered, bruised and under arrest, Harvey Miller sits in a police interview room facing interrogation. Clutching a stack of eyewitness statements, Detective Inspector West has no doubt as to Harvey's part in a foiled robbery, and his subsequent attempted murder of local businessman Steven Roper. Denying nothing, Harvey agrees to tell his version of events in full. As the story unfolds, we discover that a malevolent and unjust act perpetrated by Roper put Harvey in prison and now he has a score to settle.
Following an emotional reunion with his best friends, Harvey sets about finding the girl he left behind, determined to rekindle their romance. What follows is the ingenious and elaborate blueprint of a master plan which Harvey hopes will deliver revenge on his old adversary as well as giving him and his friends the opportunity to start a new life abroad.
After weeks of meticulous planning, the boys set the plan in motion. What unfolds is a tense and exhilarating heist of unexpected proportions. A story of loyalty, jealousy, friendship, revenge and the pursuit of happiness.
