The Juliana Hatfield 3 - 'My Sister' live on Conan, 1993-09-30

This TV appearance on the 14th episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien was a turning point in my life as a music fan. I had heard this song on the radio, my friend had the 'Become What You Are' CD, and I had seen the video on MTV 120 Minutes, but this was the first time I had ever seen Juliana performing. Right from the start I could tell she was different no miniskirt or garish makeup, for her network television debut she instead chose a button-down shirt, neatly ironed slacks, and Doc Martens. Now *this* is my kinda rock chick, I thought she was all about the music. And to deliver that music she played lead guitar on a Gibson Firebrand SG that would become her trademark for 20 years which produced a great crunchy sound on this chorus. I was hooked and it was here way back in 1993 watching this very same video you are watching now that she began staking her claim on the title of MY FAVORITE MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME.
