Richard Dix And Esther Ralston from 1925

Richard Dix is mostly remembered for his Westerns today. Actually, he made allot of comedies during the 20's. Several of them Co-Starring the beautiful Esther Ralston as his leading lady. Including the delightful WOMANHANDLED (1925). Kind of a combination of both genre's. Dix sort of inherited the same type of rolls that had made Wallace Reid famous. After Wallace death in 1923, Dix became Paramount's top Male Star during the second half of the 20's. Largely outdistancing Valentino. Who left the studio in a contract dispute in 1923. Citing creative differences. Returning in mid 1924 to make only 3 more films before leaving for United Artists. While Rudy sadly passed away after just two features with U. A. Dix lived, and remained a profitable Star well into the 1930's with RKO.
