The following is my annual tribute to Hollywood Legend, Susan Hayward. Susan Hayward was nominated 5 times during her film career, and if justice had its way, she would of won at least 3 of 5 of those nominations. She was rated the most of popular actress in the world in 1952, and was one of 10 actresses that were listed in "Hollywood's 10 Most Powerful Actresses", compiled by newspapers across the country.
This video highlights her performances in the films of "I'll Cry Tomorrow" 1955, and "I Want to Live" 1958, two of her most powerful films. Unfortunately Hayward was robbed of her Oscar in 1955 for "I'll Cry Tomorrow" - perhaps one of the finest acting performances in the history of cinema.
"When you`re dead, you`re dead. No one is going to remember me when I`m dead. Oh maybe a few friends will remember me affectionately. Being remembered isn`t the most important thing anyhow. It`s what you do when you are here that`s important." RIP Susan Hayward.
