Crispin Glover appeared on the David Letterman show to promote River's Edge. Instead, he was really promoting Rubin & Ed (a brilliant classic). In it, he plays Rubin Farr, so he came as that character, without telling anyone. Letterman didn't get it, as you can see. But there are rumors he was on acid, or crazy, or whatever.
