One of Hollywoods most popular and talented actresses and producers has just made her directing debut in Whip It, a film set in the world of roller derby skater chicks.
Drew has been a favourite of film audiences for almost three decades. Definitely an early achiever, Drew started in showbiz at only 11 months old, appearing in her first commercial. She made her film debut at only 5 years old in the sci fi thriller Altered States, but it was her scene-stealing performance as the precocious Gertie in Steven Spielbergs 1982 blockbuster E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial that catapulted the young actress to stardom. She went on to star in the thriller Firestarter and the comedy Irreconcilable Differences, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Shes continued to earn praise from both critics and audiences alike for her performances in a wide range of films from romantic comedies like Music & Lyrics opposite Hugh Grant and The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler to dramas such as Lucky You with Eric Bana and Mad Love. She's also starred in George Clooneys biographical satire Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Woody Allens Everyone Says I Love You; Stephen Kings Cats Eye; plus Riding In Cars with Boys; Batman Forever; Poison Ivy; and an unforgettable cameo in the horror hit Scream.

Behind the camera shes enjoyed success as a producer under her own company Flower Films, with hits like Charlies Angels, Never Been Kissed and 50 First Dates, which shes also starred in.

Most recently Drew starred and produced the comedy ensemble Hes Just Not That Into You, with Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johannson, Ben Affleck and Justin Long.

Drew makes her debut as director, as well as producer AND stars as a roller derby chick called Smashley Simpson, in the movie Whip It, starring Ellen Page (from Juno) and Juliette Lewis.
