Siskel and Ebert review the 1996 science fiction alien film, Independence Day starring Will Smith, Bill Pullman, and Jeff Goldblum. Both gave it a thumbs down because they found it to be a huge ripoff from other alien movies and not as good as them, and that they didn't care for the main characters as well.
