The Hole 3D is a supernatural child thriller/horror directed by Joe Dante and stars Teri Polo, Chris Massoglia and Haley Bennett. Two boys, Dane (17) and Lucas (10 years old), are left alone in their new home by their mother (Susan). When exploring the basement, they discover a locked trapdoor. Hoping for treasure, they unlock it, finding a hole of seemingly endless depth. With help of the girl from next door, Julie, they try to solve the mystery, having to face their fears as they do so. Dane's fear is his dad (who might also be THE HOLE's master, Lucas clowns and Julie a little girl who died in her childhood who was also her best friend she fell off a roller coaster ride.
