Description: Umberto Chessari is an Italian who was born on March 8th, 1957 in a Roman village. Chessari came from a large family that was rather prominent around where he grew up, which was near Rome. His late Father was a close friend to filmmaker and author Pier Paolo Pasolini, so, therefore, Umberto would frequently see the filmmaker and occasionally play football with him due to the fact it was their favourite sport, and they both enjoyed playing it. At the ages of 16 and 17, he was featured as Turturo, one of the many High School students in Mino Guerrini's 1974 comedy Professore venga accompagnato da suoi genitori. His late Father was a close friend to filmmaker and author Pier Paolo Pasolini, so, therefore, Umberto would frequently see the filmmaker and occasionally play football with him due to the fact it was their favourite sport, and they both enjoyed playing it.

At the ages of 16 and 17, he was featured as Turturo, one of the many High School students in Mino Guerrini's 1974 comedy Professore venga accompagnato da suoi genitori. You will recognise Turturo by his eccentric style and the boy in a blue outfit carrying boxes. Later that year, Pasolini offered him a role as one of the 9 male victims in his upcoming film, Salò, or 120 Days of Sodom. Chessari accepted this offer without hesitation despite initially having to go through an audition. When interviewed by French journalist Benjamin Berget, Umberto's memories of the set and Pasolini were warm, welcoming and fond. It was on this set he also befriended 16-year-old Sergio Fascetti and Fabrizio Menichini, who were also lovers of football. Their friendship primarily cultivated off set, and on March 16th of 1975, the trio participated as members of the Salò football team against Bernardo Bertolucci's Novecento's. In conclusion, Bertolucci's team won by 3 points from Salò's final score, which was 2. Accordingly however, Umberto has no recollection of Fabrizio or Sergio; though allegedly Menichini and Chessari were still in contact for only a few years after the death of Fascetti.

After Salò, Umberto returned back to studies, and over the years, he played a string of Football games both for charity and his own enjoyment. When the early 80s began, Umberto still sustained interest in film but this time a completely different field from acting. In 1983, he began working for Mediaset, and under the pseudonym Bart Hessar, sought in the camera department as well as serve chief of electrician and equipment. His earliest known work dates back to the mini TV series Per un viaggio in Italia as an electrician in one 1984 episode. His most relevant stage in this occupation was in the late 80s; where he participated in primarily B-list horror classics such as 1988's Zombi 3 and Bruno Mattei's Cop Game. Umberto's final movie was Three For One, which was released in 1990 along with Night Killer and Desire. All were directed by Mattei.

After 31 years at Mediaset, Umberto retired in 2014 at the age of 57. Whilst employed at Mediaset though, he married and Fathered a son named Emanuele, who works as an organiser at the Media Radiotelevisivi amongst many other things. Umberto currently lives in Rome. ... (more)
