Well, i looked and looked using all kind of combos in google to find a website that suite my needs since i think IMDB is very poor when it comes to community, then out of nowhere...in a site i don´t really pay attention and browsing tags i found someone linking this site, and when i read the description i though to my self "well...lets give it a try, maybe it wont be a waste like the others".

It wasn't. I´m here, and I'm loving it because it fits all my needs.

Ps: I also learned how "Not to hate" delicious :p

Ps2: I hope Listal is here to stay!

i had just got internet for the first time and was anxious to find as many good photos of heath ledger as i could. my daughter, heather sent me a few she had searched out. i looked at the address on each. one was listal. when i explored i saw what was available here and elsewhere. i got internet about 3 or 4 weeks before i went ahead and joined. i am happy here when searches work with me and not against me. i stay cross-connected with my facebook page, so i can share my favorites with my circle of facebook ''friends'' i am very pleased with our new ''friends'' here who find so many good images and post them. i hope i soon learn to do likewise. it isn't for selfish reasons that i haven't, but lack of schooling in technology . i believe i have aptitude, but i lack confidence, & and a tutor.

Well over the past couple weeks the movie rating site, Rotten Tomatoes, has been under construction. However it's been under construction for too long and nothing has changed or been improved, the site has decreases in quality, and in members. So in a thread in which people were discussing the problems with the site a user said that he had found a new site called listal.com. So I checked it out and it was pretty cool. The End.

A couple years ago I was telling one of my close friends that I wanted to find a music and/or movie equivalent to Goodreads...somewhere I can keep track of what I own, what I want to own, and what I've seen/heard/etc. with the ability to rate & occasionally review things. She found Listal, joined, then sent me an invite to join. I've been here ever since.

I found Listal about four years ago, I think.
I'd been looking for a page like this for a long time.

The best features for me were
a) it's free to use
b) one is able to add content that is not already here, via imdb.com etc

I found Listal by googling, looking for listing pages.

I've discovered a lot of films and books because of this website, things I never would have found elsewhere. I've also found some fascinating people here, users that I've had minor crushes on without ever meeting them in person.

For me this place is a haven and a virtual home.

I just did a search and didn't find one. If there is, I wouldn't imagine it's official. It'd still be cool if someone made such a video though.

I used to have my Movie lists on Yahoo -
after I bought a new computer I had trouble accessing the lists,
so I moved everything over to Netflix - after spending all last Summer creating 60+ lists there - they pulled the plug on their top 10 lists without warning, erasing all my lists without so much as a by your leave - I wasn't pleased to say the least.
While I was on the Netflix blog complaining about it - somebody suggested Listal.
I liked what I saw and decided to rebuild my lists here -
I love being able to keep track of what I own, being able to add comments to my lists, being able to list TV shows and Music as well as movies and being able to see what people from around the world favorite movies are -
I don't think I have seen an internet community this internationally diverse before - I have been very happy with Listal - just don't ever pull the plug without warning, OK? :)

I was looking at pictures of celebrities on google and most of the time when I clicked on one to look at it in full size it was from listal. So I decided to check it out and was hooked immediately :D That was two years ago or something like that

Actually I was looking for a webiste to write blogs at. Then I 'accidently' discovered listal and instantly I fell in love with it, so to say.
It somehow serves the same purpose for me. Nah, it's even better. :)

Oh and I'm trying to remember when all that happened. Like a year ago or so.

I have absolutely no Idea how I came across this site but the closest scenario I came up with is that I must be Googling some pictures and and I must've clicked on one which instantly directed me to Listal.com!

A certain member had uploaded the picture and I opened his profile page, saw the outlook, viewed some of his/her (I forgot) lists and I became very interested!

I'm been a member since the last days of Dec. 2010!

I was looking for a website like an actor database, something similar to imdb but with more/better picks and not so annoying to navigate. I finally googled "top 10 actors" just randomly because I wasn't finding anything, and of course many of the results were lists here. Exactly what I was looking for!
