Suggestions wanted for : Item page

I have wanted to add categories for pictures for a while now, the main problem will be classifying existing pictures, I think I will write a script to classify portrait pictures as covers or posters and landscape pictures as screenshots, this won't be 100% but 80% of them should be right.

I think the categories should be

- Posters (Advertising for movies or games)
- Media covers (e.g. dvd covers, game covers)
- Media format pictures (e.g. cd scans)
- Studio photos (photos of the movies from the studios)
- Screen captures (actual captures of dvds/bluray/hd-dvd or in game screenshots)
- Artwork (3d art or conceptual art for games)

Any more needed?

I agree with DaleCooper, the videos and trailers need to be moved. The cast/authers/directors are more important then the videos...

Yes but any auto categorization would place it as a poster unfortunately.

2. Remove "for %movietitle%" from the headings

3. In the blue box the quicklings should include the number of objects: Reviews (5), Pictures (2), Trailer (1)...

4. Remove the "top voted ... pictures" block. Just show the numbers of votes on the pictures overview page (the one with the most votes should be automatically the primary one).

5. Personally i liked the old green box. It's ok to moving tags to the blue box but the other 'improvements' just blow up this box with less important infos

How about a system that would let us edit pictures? If we saw a picture that was in the wrong section, we could put it in the right place. Would this be conceivable?

You can already edit pictures but yes I will add the picture type into that form.

I've added in image type selection when adding a picture which must be set to something. You can also click edit to change the image type. All existing images have been classifed as described above.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but it would be nice to have links on Artist, Author, Actor pages (i.e. Wikipedia, IMDB)

For now, I'm adding some link in my custom links, under 'Add Note' section (it accepts HTML links). It would be nice if each item page had this info as well tough.

I don't think dvd covers should be added to be honest unless there are no movie posters available. The current ones have been classifed as posters.

I would like to have clickable tags when adding/removing tags to an item.
It could display the user contributed tags and the most common tags from the community to that specific item separately and allow adding/removing tags with a click.
Something like what is available in del.icio.us social bookmarking. Rateyourmusic.com has something similar to what I am mentioning already implemented and some ideas could be taken from there.
