Suggestion: User Signatures to each post

Hold up, before I get blasted, I want to make one thing clear: I typically HATE signatures that you see on other sites full of flashing animations and annoying images.. BUT..

it would be nice to have maybe one or two line limit of signature and only allow quotes or text links.

Say there is a list you recently finished, or want more exposure to. Or maybe have a link to a page that shows all your reviews, if that's what you're most proud of. Or maybe link to your personal website. Or to your facebook page. Or a page of your favorite movie or game or book. It would be nice if we could in a way promote some of our favorite things and it would appear in all our posts.

You've made an enemy this day. But luckily its not me. As long as images are banned and there are only a few lines of text. I can't see any harm in it.

I'm especially loving the Recent Review/List coverage idea though.

Even if it was auto-generated, say a line that shows last three lists or review the user has done or edited, it'd be happy with that. It may also help show which users posting in Groups are good contributors in other parts of Listal.

One thing though. Have a option in your 'edit profile' to turn it on/off. Just in case some don't want it.

Seems like a good idea with a character restriction and all html disabled apart from links

It sounds like a good idea, both of the things brought up here I mean, maybe there should also be a switch to choose not to see anyone's signatures, that way it doesn't get annoying, but yeah, other then a select few annoying qualities of it, it would help a lot for anyone intending to use it for something useful
