So what's the solution then? Banning EVERY type of nudity? I'll admit that VS pics are obviously sexual, I mean hello they're dressed in skimpy lingerie and in provocative poses for god's sake! It's less about selling bras and panties, and more about taking pics that appeal to men. As a woman myself, I can obviously tell why they have Victoria's Secret fashion shows every year and send out catalogs. If they just wanted to sell bras and underwear to average everyday women, wouldn't they simply just have average and everyday looking models instead of beauty queens? Candice's photoshopped and airbrushed arse is pointed at the camera in every pic, and wtf does showing someone's exposed buttcheeks have have to do with selling underwear?

But even so, sexual or not, those pics can't be banned and deleted because there a lot of women especially on Listal who, for some strange reason, love lingerie fashion. And deleting those pics will ruin their lists and accounts. VS pics are harmless enough, and there is a thin line between Victoria's Secret pictures and Playboy and Penthouse Centerfolds, however slim that line may be.

Have you ever seen me starting any thread, ever, before? And any thread in which I speak out vehemently against another user? I'm no bully or whatever, and that wasn't my purpose when I started this thread. A lot of users also are sick of Meganfan and what she does and they agree with me. And I would've reported the issue to a moderator, but like Brazilfashion said- only Tom can do something about it and I figured that discussing the problem productively would help.

It's bad enough the spamming problem took till now to have something done about it, and can you really be angry with me for starting a thread about this after looking at how awful the front page looks at the moment? She's back, and she's voting for her own lists again and guess what- I'm not the bad person in this, the person who disrespects the rules and poisons the site in a repugnant and malicious way is and deserves to be reprimanded. In fact, she's the one who went and made a list about her menial issues with Listal instead of posting in the forums. And when I go and make a forum thread (in which I defend the moderators, which includes you, and the authority figures of this site), you're telling me that I shouldn't have. I don't mind if this thread is deleted, as long as this time something is actually done about Meganfan. And aren't the forums merely just a place for users to vent their problems? And isn't that exactly what we're all doing? You can try and defend her if you want to, but it's gonna be mighty difficult to justify anything she's done.

I disagree with what you say about VS because women are their dominant consumers. But we can agree to disagree.

I'm fine with those pics, actually I'm fine with the other pics as well, as long as they don't saturate the website. I was just trying to point out that they create a blur for some users resulting in some domino effect. Of course, you don't have this issue. Apparently, nobody seems to share this point of view so I might be completely off base here. jaytoast might be right, if the focus is set on the playboy, glamour and pornstar accounts, it might be sufficient.

jaytoast was only pointing that even though you had the rights to criticize meganfan in the forum, it isn't actually the official procedure. The point is that meganfan and all her buddies apparently don't check the forums but if they did, we would have had a massive and rather unproductive arguments and the thread would have been shut down pretty quickly. That's why for such matters, you should contact privately a moderator and Tom to avoid a raging war.

I don't want to be the partypooper but I still need to see it to believe it. Like I said before, I was confronted with the same issue, gathered a massive amount of evidence, reported it privately to the mods and Tom, I was told I was right, that something will be done but I seriously doubt that anything has changed at all. But we'll see...

OMG, please do not think that any way I meant to reprimand you in any way shape or form. In fact considering how you and everyone in this forum has responded, I am impressed that this thread hasn't devolved into what is the typical internet hate fest.

You and everyone in this thread has given me hope that there can be reasonable discussions about any 'hot topic'. So, I want to actually thank you for managing to be be reasonable and 'mature' about something that is totally immature (posting a List that only your supporters or 'other accounts' can respond).

It is just that in the past I have defended some Listal members and been the 'bad guy' when my defense has only been for the handling of a situation and not any one Listal member. Since I have no real way of knowing, I can only hope that my stance would be seen as something as trying to retain the integrity of the Listal site without regard to any one persons personal feelings (my own ego included). That is a rough road to take and hasn't made me very many friends.

The fact, that I was willing to let this thread "be as it is" and not speak up is something I would hope would say something about the legitimacy of your concerns but I have spoken up... not just as "jaytoast the spaz" but as "Jaytoast the moderator" I would hope would mean something.

I was one of the people who actually manged to post to her psychotic list (before she blocked me) and state what I think most people have been feeling.

You nor anyone on this thread started this 'war' and since it has become a 'war'. It is totally acceptable that any user would create a thread on the public forum where no one can be blocked from posting their thoughts. Unlike the one sided argument that was horribly promoted the front page.

The fact that unsuspecting Listal members might be caught up defending someone who is flagrantly disregarding any rules or sense of common decency is something that literally makes me sick.

I am not angry with you in any way. Trust me, other moderators and myself have been banging our heads against a wall. Yes, it sucks that there is "what can be done" and "what is being done" about this for months and months now. I only intended to express was that there is actually back-end hard coding of Listal system as a whole that delays, what most Listal members (myself included) feel demand immediate action.

Yes, this has gone on for far too long and hopefully we will see improvements in how these situations are handled in the the future, that is all I wanted to express and I'm sorry if you interpreted what I said another way.

You have a valid concerns. Truly honestly only wanted to attempt to make what you have stated even more valid and not undermine any of the issues that you and everyone in this thread has brought to light.

I too was frustrated because it seemed like nothing was being done, but as Tom explained today he had insufficient tools for dealing with this and was busy upgrading those so that now he can.

All meganfan's fake accounts have been deleted, (although she just made a new one and voted on all of her lists, which explains why like 14 of them were on the front page but I'm sure that account will get deleted soon). He also blocked a lot of her lists from getting a front page promotion and removed all the points she had received for promotions to the front page.

Obviously further action needs to be taken because she is still making new fake accounts and as a result 14/20 of the lists on the front page are hers.

@brazilfashion Now the game is getting dirty & look at the votes she got on that list.All the good work that we all do here is just going in vain cause someone is playing dirty here,using others ideas & making lists on that is very bad.She is making points with rating items,copying reviews from other sites & posting it here etc.Lets see what happens next...but one thing we all agree here is WE LOVE LISTAL..

Indeed, I noticed that her points have dropped so something has been done, definitely. At least, that's the positive point of this thread. Thanks to Severin, we all know what has been done. And that's also the main issue when you go the official way (private message to Tom or the mods), nobody knows about it. Actually, it could be a pretty good idea to put some annoucement on the front page (user XXXX has been blocked for posting illegal pics, user XXXX has been removed 100000 points for using fake accounts, user XXXX has reached his first promotion,...) things like that or other things entirely different. Maybe some other users will think twice before giving their votes to such a user.

Yeah, it looks like Tom deleted her Kate Winslet fake account and un-promoted all those lists!

I don't get why anyone would bother to waste their time spamming crap content just to be top ranked on this site.

Let me add that VS images may be sexy, but being sexy as such is not a crime! :)

She wore a sexy skirt.
Her legs are long and sexy.

VS images may be sexy, but like brazilfashion said they are not tasteless or overly sexual. So, no much of a reason to ban them, as long as they do not flood the site! :)

Besides, like you noticed, they appeal to women too, who love lingerie fashion.
Indeed, those pictures were shot to sell lingerie items, not to sell Playboy copies!

BTW, the same thing could be said for legit movie posters, that generally aren't tasteless or overly sexual, and whose primary goal is to advertise movies rather than to arouse men, even when they contain some nudity.

Lots of cool stuff are to come eventual-like with the big Listal update. Tom will be able to lay waste to whole armies of spam/smut-posters without even breaking a sweat, and the mods will level up with improved stats and all-new abilities. Not to mention all the other cool stuff like being able to list characters and other such non-administrative stuff.

Ooops...I think what we have here is a failure to communicate. I misunderstood and thought you were peeved at me for being a total arse, but I guess you weren't, so all apologies for wrongly comprehending that. I admire how you speak up and help people, and I guess you saw for yourself how she blocks anyone who disagrees with her. Like Johan said, it could've turned into a war but surprisingly, she either didn't look at the thread or was to scared to reply. And no one bothered defending her either so LOL at that. Another reason why I posted in the forums was cuz I wanted everyone to see for themselves what Meganfan was doing, and I hoped it would discourage them from voting on her rip off lists and it'd cut off some of her support on this site after they saw how vile she really was.

I think it's awful how she ripped off of Brazilfashion's list and got more votes even. It's only because Meganfan sends random people messages and comments telling them to vote for her lists. It's fucking ridiculous, pardon my french, but is no one going to delete her account for such blatant violations of any decent standards and morals?

And it's not like I personally enjoy seeing those lewd Victoria's Secret pictures, it's just that I don't find them offensive and I don't think anyone else does. I do look at the pics and think to myself, "ew" or "yuck" once in a while because I'm a self-confessed prude. But I don't have a full-fledged brain aneurysm like I do when I come across disgusting pics of pornstars and adult models. You're all definitely right when you say that accounts primarily dedicated to uploading images of and making lists about nude women should be targeted first. The perverts are the biggest problems of all, not fashion lovers. The O.P. is completely right when he says that movie posters and stills with nudity should be kept, because they're legitimately used for advertising the film and not intended to please men in that sort of way.

Anyways Pumpkinate, I'm glad to know that y'all mods will soon be able to deal with this kind of crap better, I sincerely thank everyone who took action and put this ridiculous fiasco to a halt. It was funny in a strange sort of way to see 14 of her lists clogging the front page (apparently she's stupid enough to think no one would notice), but also disheartening and aggravating. And she's still ripping off other people's stuff so I think that calls for a full on permanent ban from Listal.

@severin, honesty, I think like you that she should be banded/deleted. I mean, she is constantly breaking the rules and she certainly had enough warnings.

I would think that banning her IP and deleting her original account might get rid of her for good. It's unacceptable that she keeps breaking the rules.

@Orpheus, by deleting her account, all her stupid lists would be deleted at once so that would be a good clean up action. Plus, she would loose all her points and there is a good chance that she won't bother start all other again from scratch.

The internet can be a really dark place, that's for sure. ;) I remember receiving his weird messages and politely asking what he meant. Usually, the answer was even more obscure... I don't remember him sending me some porn pics though... Maybe I wasn't his type, who knows?

Personally, I don't really care about meganfan. I mean, I have already been down this road with another user and I won't waste my time on such people anymore. If they delete her, fine, otherwise, it is fine as well, I'll just ignore her stuff, that's for sure.

All Meganfan's lists are now blocked from the front page, according to Tom.

As long as I don't have to see that spam on daily basis, I'm pretty content.

Yeah, I remember that Alex guy. He made a new account like 6 six months ago and started trolling again. Tom deleted that account and thankfully he hasn't been around since then.

@Orpheus - Alex asked for my friend request after he voted on a few of my uploaded videos with a few comments....I accepted the request like I do with everyone here..big mistake. As soon as I accepted the request, he wrote me many cryptic messages. He kept telling me how Listal was going to get in trouble for allowing child pornography... he planned on reporting it to Tom first and then said he was going to report Tom to the authorities for not doing anything about it. He never linked or sent me any pornographic images. Though his wording was very creepy to me and I was stunned by every word he said to me. He kept telling me how decent I was for not uploading pornographic material on Listal because he had reviewed my lists and he also mentioned how so many people were getting away with pornography on here. For him to be so outspoken about this matter...he made me feel like he was hiding something big....like he was a sexual predator or something. I answered back to his messages (short ones) and then I asked him to upload a picture of himself (just curious to see if he looked like a crazy person) and he did, but he took it down from his page as soon as I saw it. When he did that...that really validated every thought I had about him. His face matched the face of a criminal. YIKES! A CREEPER TO THE MAX! After that I blocked him! A week later, he tried to friend me from different fake accounts (some were female fake Russian accounts) Ughhhh! This is the main reason why I am so antisocial on Listal. When people comment on my lists or page, I delete it as soon as I read it. I have had a few people ask why I delete their messages from my lists...I just give them an excuse. I even have members ask me to participate in list activities and I decline. I hide my friends from view on my page to protect them. I like privacy!

I totally agree with everyone about the indecent images on here. This is not a porn site! Listal needs a good bath!

@Orpheus Thanks for listening! Yeah, I am very careful with the requests now. I hope that Alex and his multiple personas never comes back on here. You know, this isn't the first time that this has happened to me. I'm a photographer and I sell my work online on different sites and last year a woman stalked me on two of those sites. She threatened me and my family. She said such horrible things. I blocked her on both sites and she then decided to write in the photography forum...asking other members if there were any Photography meetup groups in the area. I didn't attend any of the meetups when I found that out. I stayed low key for about a year. Things finally settled down and nobody has bothered me since. What a relief! Anyways, I feel better for getting this out in the open.

Having porn on this site definitely attracts creepers to come here. We don't want that! Glad things will change for the better.

Indeed, the ambiguous position of this website concerning nudity ('We don't officially allow it but somehow there are tons of it') attract some very dark characters who have been displeased by other websites with stricter rules. Like you, I'm really curious about those updates!

I highly recommend just blocking her.

*sigh* Up until a few hours ago, the grammar, punctuation, and sentence construction displayed in this thread was top-notch. Truly nonpareil in terms of listal threads. Not only that, but not one person had been called a sisterfucker.

But now it's all ruined. And, likely, about to get worse.
