there is a problem finding existing profiles of people with special characters like the german Eszett (ß) by using the search function.
For example try to find "Josefine Preuß". It will give you only this profile as a result: www.listal.com/josefine-preuss . But this profile is wrong - it has no TV/Movie history. In fact there is a correct profile of this person: www.listal.com/josefine-preu%C3%9F . But it is never found by the search function.
How can this be solved?

Try looking for Josefine Preus.
Also, die strase will find Die Straße (1923)!
Don't ask me why! :)

11 years, 10 months ago at Jul 5 20:25 - Yes, that works, thank you for the hint. It's curious, some bug with the search engine that should be fixed. It seems that the search engine can't read UTF-8 Codes.

10 years ago at Apr 7 0:08 - Same goes for other languages using special signs. In order to find the French show Caïn, you have to search for Cain. If you look for Caïn, instead, Listal says No search results for 'Ca n' and shows you the help page about adding a new item to the database. Users might believe the show is missing, and try add it again.
