New uploads broken

A lot of images will also need to be reposted when this finally gets fixed, if they are to be viewable.

What's worse is that the old images affected cannot be uploaded easily cuz I have no damn idea which ones are which anymore

Here's a new one! In my feed it says that yesterday I posted a new list but I didn't, it's a list I published years ago. Also said list is now not appearing in the lists on my profile page.

What would be great is if we could direct the usual photo spammers (Quest, Bloo and a few more) to this thread. Pretty pointless dropping 20-30 pics that can't be seen and likely will be lost to posterity if Tom clears this up.

I did message one or two members about this issue earler in the week.

If the new broken images get deleted, they can just be reuploaded, no big deal. That's what a lot of us did last time, I'm sure we can do it again despite how tedious it was. However, if it does come down to Tom resetting the server prior to Nov 9, then it might not just be the broken images deleted, it might also be images that were uploaded further back from Nov 9. Like how everything was restored back to August 16th and anything uploaded after that date was deleted. So if the broken images get deleted, I won't be surprised if images uploaded prior to Nov 9 meet the same fate.

I started the thread, so I'm aware of the problem. Guess you could say I was uploading pics checking to see if the issue was resolved. I don't feel like going back and deleting them, especially since the broken images aren't popping up on my personal update feed for me to do so, so if Tom has to reset the server and delete them, that's fine. My real concern is pics that were uploaded before Nov 9 being deleted with the broken ones in said server reset. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that.

As for me being a photo spammer, I think as long as what I'm uploading is new, it should be fine. It's not like we're uploading duplicates and resizing said duplicates so they can't be reported, old photos, weird edits or screenshots from the same angle. Should this issue be resolved, maybe I'll upload less frequently. Like everyone else, I'm getting a little fed up with all the bugs and lack of any real moderation that goes beyond just reporting pics and having dupes or nudes deleted.

Whoops, apologies for the long post. I'll check back every once in a while, out of hope this issue is eventually resolved. Hopefully there's no server reset in the meantime that takes us back before Nov 9, fingers crossed!

If only 1 Person ( Tom ) can do this Things,then we have to wait.Sure he will have a real Life,Job,Family ( ?), he could be on Holidays or ill.
But all the Problems getting more and more in the last Months,there will be 14 Days when all works fine and then the same Things happen again.
Thousends of new Pics were uploaded a Day and i think 98 % of the Users have no Idea that the Pics don´t work.
I will wait a bit,hope it get be fixed.but if the same Bugs return all 14 Days i left the Board. I´m in other Celeb Boards also where i can upload Pics once at a several Imagehoster and can copy the Codes to my Threads. Listal needs a Extra Upload and when the Things do not work again and again , i dont wanna waste my Time here anymore..Cause it`s frustrating.

We could do with finding out what causes this continual issue. The new server was supposed to fix this or at least improve the users experience of the site but this server seems to be just as unreliable as the previous one.

I did a test pic this morning and it was fine. Just tried another and, yup, right back to broken thumbs again.

Never mind, I'm re-uploading the pics that have broken thumbnails, it fixes the problem.
The problem was with the few animated gifs.

Strange it seems to effect the creator of the list but not those viewing it.

Thats a shame. I can only suggest either messaging Tom or do what Boogiepop1989 did which was to delete their list and re-post it. That worked for them.

It’s not just this one. It’s half a dozen. Pictures from myself and others, are also blank.

If you've tried logging out, clearing cashe/cookies and logged back in with no luck. Tried deleting your lists and re-posting and still they are not working, don't know what else it could be. As mentioned earler maybe Tom can take a look for you. Which web brower are you using?

Pretty much run out of ideas other than try logging in through a different browser.
Suggest messaging Tom to see if he can discover what is wrong with your account.

I haven’t heard anything back yet.

You could also message him from his profile page, its what I have done in the past. It can sometimes take him a while to get back to you.

A little late but, yes, messaging Tom directly has, in my experience, been quicker than emailing the support mail.

I tried emailing him, but got nothing back.

I’m also considering deactivating my account, if it continues beyond January.

If you click on the link above from SA-512 it will take you to Tom's profile page. There you can message him, as TrekMedic suggests its sometimes better to get hold of Tom that way. Hope it gets sorted for you.

Update: I’m having a hard time getting hold of Tom.

If I don’t hear anything back from him, in the next couple of weeks and it’s still broken, sadly I will be closing down my account.

Given that I haven’t heard back, I’m planning on deleting this account pretty soon.
