10 years, 2 months ago at Feb 11 17:11 - you have to get a certain ammount of votes and it gets promoted, and i could be wrong but that ammount is 10 for recent lists, but to be honest im still trying to understand the specifics of the subject.

To promote your list is actually not that difficult. There are several techniques. First of all, put some effort in your lists : add pics, comments (preferably your own and not from some other website), be creative. Secondly, you can promote it yourself. You can spam everyone if you like (but it is usually really annoying) or gently remind the people that you know or the people that you think might be interested that you have created a new list and ask them to check it out.
The bottomline is that if you don't put any efforts in your list, they won't be noticed, people won't vote for them and if they don't get enough votes, they won't be promoted.
