Guilty Pleasures and Me Against the World

What are your guilty pleasures of cinema and what films do you find that your opinion or review is the exact opposite of what the majority thinks? - Like tons love AVATAR (I haven't wasted my time yet to watch it) but there has to be someone who is extremely displeased with it.
For Me, here are just a few -
Guilty Pleasures:
HARLEY DAVIDSON & THE MARLBORO MAN (Bad lines, bad movie but non-stop silly entertainment)
STRIKING DISTANCE (See how many times Big Bruce's wigs change - it should become a drinking game)
FX & FX2 (entertaining films that I get goofed on for owning)
DOUBLE IMPACT (double the VanDammage)
Me Against the World:
TITANIC (tons of people love this one, I don't)
HUDSON HAWK (haven't come in contact with any who like this one like I do)
OBSERVE & REPORT (One of the best dark comedies ever made but it did not seem to go over well with audiences)
Look forward to your answers, have a great week!

Guilty Pleasures:
The "so-bad-it's-good" genre, which includes the likes of Ninja Squad and Troll 2.
Movies based on video games, even if--no--especially if they suck:
Super Mario Bros.
Mortal Kombat
Double Dragon
Silent Hill
And finally, The Big Lebowski.
Me against the WOrld:
I would have to agree with you on Titanic. Also, I have seen Avatar and thought it was lame.
Shakespeare in Love, lame.
Anything from Quentin Tarantino, lame.
Any movie that sparks, or tries to spark, a "film is art" debate, lame.

Great stuff astro_man23

I like this kind of topics.
My guilty pleasures:
-The Lethal Weapon movies. Although they are good, I freaking love them with a passion, and each sequel didn't improve much from the one before.
-Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. There's just something about these movies I adore, especially the destructive bigger-than-man post-apocalyptic scenarios that we are left by the end of the movies. The director is a bad one, but the content of these 2 movies is just too entertaining.
Me against the World:
-Howard the Duck. I LOVED this movie as a kid, and I still think it's a pretty funny and sweet movie today, this is like one of the most disappointing movies ever for most people who have seen it.
-2001: Space Odyssey. Just couldn't get into it, taking into account it is considered by many critics and movie lists the best movie of all time, I liked it just enough to watch it once.
-Citizen Kane. Good movie... what is it so special about it? I can see how it could be a great story back in the days.
-Men in Black I and II. These movies are bad... it has such a cult following I don't understand.

Great call man, I don't understand the whole Men In Black thing either.

When I watched Godzilla's Revenge about a year ago, I quite liked it despite the fact all Godzilla fans I've known over the years consider it utter trash. It has a family-friendly moral on standing up for yourself, progresses at an even pace and thus I didn't find it boring, and despite the fact it uses a large amount of stock footage, it uses it pretty well.

Guilty Pleasures:
Even though Spielberg's films are often disparaged by cinephiles because Jaws helped end the New Hollywood era, his films have great style.
Me against the world:
I didn't like Do The Right Thing, especially because the director is racist e.g. he considers those who question if Mookie did the right thing racists who value property over a black man's life.

I got many guilty pleasures. That's just how I roll.
Besides that, I think films like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Citizen Kane, Apocalypse Now etc. ain't that good.

Guilty Pleasures:
The Harry Potter series, I think the only two I really liked where 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'The Goblet of Fire', purely started to only watch the series because of the legendary Richard Harris to be honest.
Me against the world:
Persona, I really don't get what's so great about it, it's an irritating film.
A Clockwork Orange, one of the most overrated movies ever.
2001: A Space Odyssey, defiantly an overhyped steaming pile of waste.

Guilty pleasures - the OLD Godzilla movies...men in suits fighting in a set full of model buildings
I happened to like both The Avengers (the one with Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes), and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen
I never understood the appeal of Shaun Of The Dead
Over-rated film makers...David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino... Oh shove in Tim Burton to that list too..he really has been treading water for decades now

GUILTY PLEASURE
Valley of the Dolls
Beyond Borders
ME AGAINST THE WORLD
The Godfather films were ok but too long and never grab my attention.

Guilty Pleasures:
Home Alone 2
Good Burger
Pretty much just films I saw in my childhood for which I retain a certain nostalgia
Me Against the World:
Not hate, but dislike:
Amelie
Anything by Tim Burton
Love:
Hook (which critics panned)

Guilty Pleasures:
Spider-Man 3
Batman Forever
Pokemon: The First Movie
Ernest Scared Stupid
Kangaroo Jack
TMNT II
Me Against The World:
Iron Man (I didn't think it was awful but I don't think it's all that great of a movie... I prefer certain aspects of the 3rd film more than this 1)
Clerks (I didn't really laugh that much. I thought it was okay... maybe, I watched the movie too late for me to enjoy it)
Batman & Batman Returns (I admit I hated BR the first time I watched-which was 4-and I tried watching Batman recently and I admit I didn't enjoy how Tim Burton portrayed the character)
