"Life is pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something." --William Goldman

lol!! This guy is soooo right!!
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 11 months ago at Jun 10 5:53 -
Hmm....I'd say that's true.

“Humility is to make a right estimate of one's self.”

“If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem to be against us, we do not believe Him at all.”

“Economy is half the battle of life. It is not so hard to earn money as to spend it well.”

“The worst thing that can happen to a man who gambles is to win”

“Resolution One: I will live for God. Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will.”

-Spurgeon, Edwards, and Wesley.

But, it was no match for me at kick boxing.

--Adversity doesnt build character, it reveals it.

LOL! Those last two posts are awesome, Sarosh! But I think adversity both reveals and build character.

That last one is a joke. LOL.

I like Aspercreme's (muscle rub) old slogan, "You bet your sweet aspercreme." now it's "you bet if it's aspercreme" which takes all the fun out of it.
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 11 months ago at Jun 12 5:03 -
Well.....that's life inspiring....
Sarosh© 17 years, 11 months ago at Jun 13 9:51 -
*smiles*- thanx forgiven..

--Surely it's no coincidence that the word "listen" is an anagram of the word "silent".
--You may have grown old, but you may not have grown up.
--Laughter is a smile with the volume turned up.
--Sometimes we all have days where we are 386's in a P4 world.

Enjoy..-LOL-
Sarosh© 17 years, 11 months ago at Jun 14 10:14 -
What do you people say bout the second one??

--You may have grown old, but you may not have grown up.

Any comments?
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 10 months ago at Jun 20 18:46 -
Well, very true. I think there is a Garfism about that, like "Growing old is required. Growing up is optional."

I like the first one alot.
The third's pretty cool.
The fourth, I want to understand, but can't. LOL.
Sarosh© 17 years, 10 months ago at Jun 20 21:07 -
thts right..i too agree on the fact of that growing older is pretty much required..but growing up..could be optional..

Never let your schooling interfere with your education - Mark Twain

lol! I LOVE Mark Twain! He's soooo funny!

I have no idea who said this, but it's my step dad's favorite.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they pissed me off.
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 10 months ago at Jun 22 0:44 -
lo......l.....I think I've heard that one, but it went a little different, haha.
Sarosh© 17 years, 10 months ago at Jun 23 10:50 -

These are my three favorites.

"[In reference to Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails] I've always said that what Trent really needs is a blankey and a hot chocolate with marshmallows - he doesn't need another hole to crawl into. I think somebody should give him one of those little hard hats with a miner's light on it, so when he gets lost in a dark hole, he can find his way out." - - - Tori Amos

"Bad things happen to everyone. Acceptance is the only means of conquering them." - - - Thilian Quartus, Greek philosopher

"A work of literature doesn't need figurative language. The exception is the metaphor of the characters and conflicts representing sympathy and empathy, and the setting down of the book as exchanging something in your hands for something in your psyche." - - - Tom Ferguson
Devious Phenomenon 17 years, 7 months ago at Oct 3 20:50 -

Faith 17 years, 1 month ago at Apr 2 22:13 -
I wanted to see what this looks like, it does have something to do with slogans. But bear with me, I'm not sure if it'll work.

You know how old these threads you are digging up are Faith?

My favourite slogans are from Boilermakers:

"Once a Boilermaker, always a boilermaker."
and
"If its a boiler, we didn't make it."

Genius.

Some good Aesopian-style truth here:

"Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference."
Jeremy Smiley 17 years, 1 month ago at Apr 3 1:31 -
"Never regret anything that has ever made you smile"

"Its better to burn out than to fade away"
Devious Phenomenon 17 years, 1 month ago at Apr 3 1:33 -
alright, I would like to comment on Thilian's, lol it is 100% true, they make you look stupid because they are so idiotic and your actually trying to argue with them, which just shows that you arent very bright too
Deleted user
Deleted 17 years, 1 month ago at Apr 3 1:37 -
And oftentimes when you do argue with them it's not that you're an idiot yourself, you're just an ignorant person erring on idiocy.
