Well then, here are a few from the back of one of my notebooks:

"I start at the beginning, go to the end, then stop." - Anthony Burgess on writing
"What is important is to spread confuseion, not eliminate it." - Salvador Dali

Haf-Life is about a scientist named Gordon Freeman who worked on a teleportation at Black Mesa but something goes awry and causes a major explosion and things from another dimension come through and you have to make it out.
Half-Life 2 continues the story were Gordon comes out of "sleep" and find the earth taken over by the population from the other dimension, which are known as the Combine.

It's a really great game that everyone should play.
Very well written, great gameplay, no cut scenes that breaks up the story, and it has lots of great mods.

Mitch: Whatcha doin?
Chris: Self realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, 'I drank what?' - From Real Genius

"The best way to keep peace is to prepare for war." - George Washington

"Evil only succeeds if good men do nothing." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"I don't know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein

"When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite. " - Sir Winston Churchill

"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity." - Albert Einstein

Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it. - ThinkGeek.com

If you play a Windows CD backwards it sounds like "Worship Satan".
Even worse if you play it normally it installs Windows!

I remembered a logo I actually like. This is the one used for the BBC's Bitesize revision website: Bitesize fish, of which there are many types, but my favourite has to be the History fish.

Another two quotes methinks:

"The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple." - Oscar Wilde

"It is not the fall that kills you. It's the sudden stop at the end." - Douglas Adams
Sarosh© 18 years ago at May 16 7:15 -
Cute Fishes :)

This one really keeps me up:

--Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.
Cheers

How many people agree in this?

LOL
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 12 months ago at May 18 0:41 -
I told that Windows CD one to a friend. He laughed. Then punched me.
Sarosh© 17 years, 12 months ago at May 18 9:11 -

VIP
Raven 17 years, 12 months ago at May 18 9:47 -
He punched you? Did he really?
Sarosh© 17 years, 12 months ago at May 18 13:04 -
-LOL- that is what he said, i guess if he really did..it would be painful *ouch* ! :D
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 12 months ago at May 20 2:29 -
Um....yeah.....he punched me. Alot. I have bruises.

I don't think you can play it backwards, it's just supposed to be like a music cd.
Sarosh© 17 years, 12 months ago at May 20 20:01 -

-- As you Sow, shall you reap.
do u people agree with this? i mean..what if your best friend does something wrong, will you be responsible for it??
cheers
tartan_skirt 17 years, 11 months ago at May 28 13:54 -
Eh? I don't think thats what it means.. I think it means that if you do something good you will in turn get good results. Sort of like the phrase "You get what you give."

Deleted 17 years, 11 months ago at May 28 17:46 -
Besides, a lot of those aren't really slogans so much as clichés.
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 11 months ago at May 29 2:52 -
It works both ways, tartan.

Good to good, and bad to bad.
tartan_skirt 17 years, 11 months ago at May 29 8:29 -
Ah, but you see, Sarosh asked if his friend did something bad would he (Sarosh) be responsible. That just didn't make sense to me.
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 11 months ago at May 29 17:58 -
True.

That's a little strange. It depends on the situation.
Sarosh© 17 years, 11 months ago at May 30 10:12 -
so its good to good for me..and bad to bad for me..?
DefenderOfKnowledge 17 years, 11 months ago at Jun 4 2:55 -
That's what I believe.

Not that you can't be affected by other people's decisions.
