Susanna Radaelli is a late fashion designer and company founder who was formerly an actress and model. She was born in 1958 in Milan Italy to parents of Italian descent. Her career as a model began by chance when one of her friends that worked in a press agency began taking pictures of her. One day, he told Susanna filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini was working on his new film, and coming to Milan to find actors for it; furthermore saying she was welcome to the casting as a way to pass time. When there, Pasolini gave her a briefing of the films theme without a script or any specific details. He also requested for Radaelli's phone number, which he rung her on several weeks after the casting date to inform her she had a role in this said film, which was now named Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom. It was the first of Susanna's three cinematic appearances as an actress. She was just 16-years-old and 17 by the time it ended.
Radaelli starred in two other Italian films, both being released in 1976. The first being the erotic thriller called Plot of Fear, as the lover of Jeanne under Susy Radaelli, and finally Stangata in famiglia; as a credited extra. For several years after Stangata however, Susanna remained a model who walked the runway for major fashion companies. Her experience in this professionalism was what made her fascinated in the production of fashion clothing, and after leaving her modelling career she founded a small laboratory that created children's garments. Her love for travelling landed her in the American city of Los Angeles, where she held a deep fascination within the country and its people. Eventually, Susanna moved herself and her family there; which was right before the start of many creatively innate pursuits.
Though her primary outlets were in cinema and fashion, Susanna opened a landscaping business that designed parks and gardens for residents of Los Angeles. She was also a photographer for post production, based in Hollywood.
After many years pursing a hobby of travelling aboard, Susanna founded the company Susie Mama with Lloyd Chiate and Juliette Sedlacek in 2017. The company was primarily conceived from Susanna's interest in graffiti and urban messages from various cities and provinces of her native country. Today, at 63-years of age, Susanna is inspired by science, nature, and love, which is her main motivation. In January of 2021 she gave an interview that dwelled on her Pasolini experiences and the production of 120 Days of Sodom to Maniaco Deprebis' Éric Draven, which is accessible exclusively on the internet. Unfortunately, on Christmas Day of 2021, Susanna unexpectedly passed away in Los Angeles, which was her sole residence for a number of decades. Radaelli is survived by her three sons; Alex, Dario, and Paolo, her partner Lloyd and a string of animals.
