Description: Sergio Fascetti was born on July 4th, 1958, in the Italian province of L'Aquila. Before the age of 10, Sergio moved from L'Aquila to Rome, where his Father was just employed at the Carabinieri. When he was 16, Fascetti was in Pier Paolo Pasolini's final film Salò, or 120 Days of Sodom (1975) where he played one of the 9 male victims whose name is retained. Immediately choosing Fascetti to play a victim in this film, during the scene in which he is branded, the prosthetic chest attached to him was improperly applied, meaning Sergio's chest was literally burnt, and he had to be hospitalised. This information was kept secret for several decades until it was revealed in a film archive of Pasolini discussing the subject matter, and whether or not Sergio was able to shoot additional scenes.

During the filming, Sergio also befriended 18-year-old Umberto Chessari and Fabrizio Menichini, primarily over their love of football. On March 16th, 1975, the trio were apart of the Salò football team competing against Bernardo Bertolucci's team, the Novecento's. In conclusion of this game, the Novecento's won by 5 points in total, which was 3 more from Salò's 2. Described by Maurizio Valaguzza as the 'smartest and cleverest' on set, the scenes Fascetti shared with fellow actress Renata Moar brought them closer together and not only did the pair discover they had numerous things in common, it also sparked a flirtation. However, the relationship was nothing more than that of a flirtation because Renata had just turned 20 and was heavily courted on set, which greatly displeased Sergio. He was 17 when it was released, and alike most of the actors, returned to anoymity.

Allegedly, Sergio starred in the 1982 Italian comedy Grand Hotel Excelsior as an extra when he was 24. Though there are only a few sources supporting this claim, you can recognise Sergio as a waiter with curly brown hair in the far right, at the beginning of the film. He was uncredited for this role.

Years later, Fascetti was residing in the slums of Centocellle, a Roman suburb where he dealt with a drug addiction. On March 21st, 1992, his Father discovered Sergio dead in his bathroom by a heroin overdose, and next to his body lay a used syringe and tourniquet.
