Leroy 'Satchel' Paige was born on July 7, 1906 in Mobile, Alabama, USA as Leroy Robert Paige.
He was married to Lahoma Brown and Janet Howard. He died on June 8, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
Inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame, 1971. Pitched in the Negro Leagues, 1926-1950. Pitched for the American League's Cleveland Indians (1948-1949), St. Louis Browns (1951-1953), and Kansas City Athletics (1965).
