Pat Flaherty was an American film actor who appeared in about 200 films. Flaherty served in the Army in 1916 during the the Pancho Villa Expedition (known officially in the United States as the Mexican Expedition) and then as an aviator in the Army Signal Corps (Army Air Service) in World War I. He later served as an officer in the Marine Corps in both World War II and the Korean War, attaining the rank of major. Flaherty also played professional baseball in the minor leagues in Des Moines, San Francisco, Shreveport, Indianapolis, Akron and for other teams. He also played professional football for the Chicago Bears in 1923.
