Assault. Arson. Robbery. Those are the taglines under each of the three mug shots advertising the Mod Squad movie, but they could easily be describing the crime-centric songs driving this hipster vehicle. NYPD poster boy Busta Rhymes--whose weapons-possession charges have landed him more than a few dates in real-life court--leads off with his smug trademark uhh's in "Party Is Goin' On Over Here." The thick rhymes on Everlast's hit single "Ends" dwell on other societal ills: "Some people would rob their mother for the ends."
