Description:
A thematically-appropriate followup to 1994's Liquor in the Front, this EP finds the Texas tornado in a (somewhat) subdued mode. But even though the pedal is off the metal, the party remains in full swing since Rev. Jim Heath can't help but be the host with the most, an attitude that shines through on low-key loungers like "That's Showbiz." And while the disc does lack the over-the-top energy of earlier releases, the Rev. and his disciples haven't totally disavowed the psychobilLy gospel: for all its suave veneer, the title track still sounds more like an invitation to quaff a cuppa moonshine than an iced cocktail. --D
