After The Killers had decided to take a year long Hiatus (2010-2011) Flowers, unready to settle and take it slow, decided to go solo for a year and thus produced a Vegas inspired album. "Flamingo" was released September 14 in the US and Canada, and September 16 in the UK and Ireland. The first single from Flamingo, "Crossfire", was released on June 21 (Flowers' birthday). The video for "Crossfire" was released on July 8 and includes a brilliant performance from leading action lady Charlize Theron (Aeon Flux. Monster). As of July 2011, the video has more than 9 million views on YouTube.
