Description:
John Scofield is one of the most important of current jazz guitarists who amongst other things has played on several Miles Davis albums (the 1985 You're Under Arrest being the best of them). He also produced a number of first-rate Blue Note records in the early 1990s. His style is that of a jazz musician brought up with rock, blues and funk and he incorporates all these, whilst adding a unique Sco slant on them. A Go Go has him teamed up with young American hip funk meisters Billy Martin (drums), John Medeski (organ) and Chris Wood (bass).
