Description:
A ten-year-old Lebanese boy named Zozo lives in war-torn Beirut. His family plans to escape the daily bombings by emigrating to Sweden where Zozo's grandparents already live, but Zozo's parents, sister, and brother are killed on the day they are to leave. Zozo finds strength in visions of his mother's spirit, a golden energy in space that may be God, and a pet talking baby chicken. Zozo is sheltered by a girl named Rita, then catches his plane and meets his grandparents.
