It bares a striking resemblance to the likes of Vice in which complicated, thorny material is presented with a degree of insouciance that is perhaps at odds with itself. Satire is all well and good but treating a glimpse behind the curtain with buffoonery may be a bridge too far when the story being told is that of sexual assault survivors reclaiming their power to take down the monster. DVDecember 2019 (36 movies items)"First viewing - Dec. 21st So here we have a story that's important and a wonderful cast to help realize it. And yet the characters are never explored deeply enough for it to matter much, which is a shame. It reminded me in some ways of The Big Short, and as such I was entertained for the most part.
