"A rather melodramatic exploration of death, family and health care in China. Bears a fair amount of similarities with other films on the topic of not telling a loved one of their fatal condition, but quite the number of those movies are Japanese, and this being Chinese is more than enough to cause a significant separation as the angle is very, very family-centric. As a result it's much warmer and emotional, some of which is good enough to forgive some of the melodramatic tendencies. Terrific per"

The cast is excellent and drew me into the characters, plus the subject matter which could be rather dark is played mostly light in the most endearing ways. I wasn't as emotionally affected as I thought I might be, but I deeply appreciated the film and would gladly sit through it again."
