"In the autumn of 1960, Father Thomas Riley and Father John Thornton were sent by the Vatican to investigate a miraculous event in an Irish home for ‘fallen women’, only to uncover something much more horrific. A reasonable found footage horror movie. I found the story to be quite creepy. The visuals were largely solid but things like the bulb on the camera constantly flashing off and on with no explanation quickly become trite and repetitive to diminishing effect. I'm at odds with "The Devil's Doorway", then again that is usually the case when I come across a horror movie centered around wayward nuns. Maybe I should learn my lesson. More often than not I'm left feeling unfulfilled or exposed to a bit too much. There never seems to be a middle ground with this niche sub-genre.
